Video of July 2008 at La Push, WA
Ellie's Family had a fun time on the coast of WA at La Push. This is our first time trying out video so hopefully it works! Uncle Ben had just caught a fish that the boys were very interested in.

Zoo and Toes
We had fun going to the Point Defiance Zoo with David, Erica, Marcus and Grandma Carolyn. The highlights were the waterfalls, open grass area, underwater animals and playground area.

James is a pro at turning over now and we'll often find him a few feet off of his playmat. He's recently found his toes although they haven't made it into his mouth yet.

James in July
James is getting close to 4 months! He's really cooing, smiling, grabbing and growing!

Grandpa B and Grandma B (Grandpa Kim's parents) sent us a cradle that has been in Grandpa B's family since he was a child! Grandpa Kim slept in it and Mama, too.

James has just learned to really turn over from his back to his stomach. Here he is asleep on his tummy after turning over - turning makes a guy tired!

Brandt Family Weekend

We had a great time at La Push, WA to celebrate Aunt Anna's 30th birthday (Aug. 12th) and her boyfriend, Bradley's 30th birthday (July 20th).

Watching little fish in the stream catch bugs that Uncle Ben is throwing to them.

Uncle Ben caught a steelhead that he baked for our supper!

4th of July
James celebrated his first fourth of July with a special hat from Ellie's friend, Tara. We had a great time celebrating with Ellie's family on Lake Tapps with the boys having a great time watching fireworks (Grandpa Kim held James who slept through most of them).
David and Benjamin love "playing" the piano. David is starting to carry a tune when singing so maybe someday he and Daddy can do a duet.

James can now roll on his side and stand in his exersaucer. His favorite thing to play with is still his playmat with toys dangling that he can hit and grab.

James has had thrush for awhile with it coming and going as we try different ways to get rid of it. Now we're trying Gentian Violet which is supposed to be very effective, but stains purple! Hence, the purple lips. Hopefully, it will totally get rid of the thrush.

James Sucking His Thumb
Our 2 1/2 month old James has decided that he doesn't really care for the pacifier (unless he is really tired) and has opted for his thumb recently. He's doing great with normally only one feeding in the middle of the night. He's not chunky, but is bigger than our other boys were at this age. At his 2 month check up he was 24 inches long and 12 lbs (he was 21.5 inches and 7 lbs 7 oz at birth) so he's growing well. His temperament is a lot like the other boys in that he has fun play times with cooing and smiling (he's almost laughing) but then lets you know when he's hungry and fights going to sleep sometimes. He is more like David was as a baby in that he doesn't spit up hardly at all (Benjamin was a big spitter) and his facial expressions resemble David's as a baby. Overall, he's a wonderful baby and we are so glad he's a part of our family!!!
Fun Boys
We've had a fun, busy month of June. Jonathan went to Los Vegas for a week of auditing at a Milgard plant there. Ellie stayed with her parents for one night and the rest of the week with Carolyn. We had fun but are very glad to be together again. We're looking forward to a busy summer filled with seeing friends and enjoying God's beautiful creation.
David is very helpful in helping Mommy get things when she nursing James and helping to clean up toys. Benjamin likes to try to help too, and now that he is walking with almost no limp, he's getting more helpful.
