James 1, Benjmin 3

Here are some overdue birthday pictures. We had 4 parties total with most of them combined for the two boys.

David with Cubbie Bear

David is a part of the AWANA program at David & Erica's church and loves every minute of learning verses, playing games, coloring and doing crafts. Last week he got to take Cubbie home for the first time so we thought a trip to the zoo would make it special.

Grandpas and Wives

I had a funny conversation with the boys this morning and it went something like this (I don't remember how we got on to this subject):

David: "When we grow up, you will be our grandma."
Me: "No, Sweetie, I will always be your mom."
David: "No, I mean when we grow up we will be grandpas."
Me: "Yes, well, if you have children and then if your children have children, then you will be a grandpa."
Benjamin: "Two grandpas!"
David: "Yeah, two grandpas because there are two boys (meaning him and Benjamin). But, you won't be my wife when I grow up (talking to me)."
Me: "You're right, I won't be your wife because Daddy is my husband."
Benjamin: "You won't be MY wife."
David: "I'll have one wife, but I don't know, maybe Benjamin will have another wife."
Me: "Right, you won't have the same wife."
David: he hesitated, thinking about what I said then said: "No, not the same wife."

Soooo cute to think of 3 and 4-year-olds thinking about being grandpas and having wives!

Easter

Christ is Risen! We had a great weekend celebrating Jesus' ressurrection with Jonathan's family on Saturday and some of mine on Sunday. Sometime last week I overheard David singing a song. This is pretty normal for David to just start singing or humming a song. However, the song he decided to burst into song about was "Christ Arose".

Then, at church on Sunday the boys were a part of a bell choir that sang and rang the song "God is so Good".

Some Pics: (the suits the boys are wearing are the ones they are going to wear for my sisters Lena's and Anna's weddings this year)

James Walking

The boys playing "restaurant" with their snack.

Our baby is 1 today! He's been gradually taking more and more steps by himself and just this past week walking has become his preferred mode of transport.

Zoo Fun

We've been enjoying our zoo pass (thanks, Hawkinsons!) and went recently with Grandpa Kim and then another time with Grandma Carolyn to the Seattle Woodland Zoo. Probably one of the highlights of going to the zoo was watching the construction workers work on a pavillion.
