I had a funny conversation with the boys this morning and it went something like this (I don't remember how we got on to this subject):
David: "When we grow up, you will be our grandma."
Me: "No, Sweetie, I will always be your mom."
David: "No, I mean when we grow up we will be grandpas."
Me: "Yes, well, if you have children and then if your children have children, then you will be a grandpa."
Benjamin: "Two grandpas!"
David: "Yeah, two grandpas because there are two boys (meaning him and Benjamin). But, you won't be my wife when I grow up (talking to me)."
Me: "You're right, I won't be your wife because Daddy is my husband."
Benjamin: "You won't be MY wife."
David: "I'll have one wife, but I don't know, maybe Benjamin will have another wife."
Me: "Right, you won't have the same wife."
David: he hesitated, thinking about what I said then said: "No, not the same wife."
Soooo cute to think of 3 and 4-year-olds thinking about being grandpas and having wives!
